More of Last Week's Finishes from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

Today, I just have a few more finishes to share from last week.





This is another of Chris' pinwheel quilt tops.
I decided it was time to use the adorable flannel Llama fabric sent in by Amanda.
It was sent to Laura for the quilting.  She also sewed on the binding!

This quilt measures 56 x 72".





Chris used the same pattern to make this pinwheel quilt top. We also backed this one with flannel.  But this time it is with cats.  Laura quilted this one too.

Look What I Finally Finished from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

 I don't often have much time to sew quilts for myself anymore.  But I did finish one recently that I am in love with.


Remember these improv blocks I was making?



I finally set them on point and made this lovely quilt.  

I did some fun, simple quilting on it.  Played around with thread color for some fun effects.

I want to make another one in hot colors now.  I certainly have enough solid scraps to make one (actually more than one)!

The Fabric Made Me Do It from Quilting Is More Fun Than Housework

I keep my folded stash fabric in an open fronted bookcase sorted by color.  Every once in a while, there seems to be a fabric that physically throws itself at me wanting attention.  Once I retrieve the fabric half a dozen times from the floor, I finally give up and make something with it.




This (unloved) lupine fabric was the print screaming for attention.  I don't ever remember buying it but I know I did use it as a backing for a quilt ages ago.  I had some big chunks of fabrics all folded together that looked like they ...
